Vegan Middle Eastern Fried Cauliflower
A crispy and flavorful vegan dish inspired by Middle Eastern cuisine, made with cauliflower and spices.
Ingredients
- β1 head cauliflower
- β1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- β1/4 cup cornstarch
- β1 tsp garlic powder
- β1 tsp paprika
- β1 tsp salt
- β2 tbsp lemon juice
- β1 cup olive oil

1. Cut the cauliflower into florets and set aside.

2. In a shallow dish, mix together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, and salt.

3. Pour the lemon juice into a separate shallow dish.

4. Dip each cauliflower floret into the lemon juice, then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

5. Heat about 1/2 inch of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

6. Fry the cauliflower in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

7. Remove the fried cauliflower from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
