Smoky Tunisian Chicken Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic North African-inspired dish made with smoky spices, tender chicken, and fresh kissed herbs.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 lbs chickenboneless, skinless chicken thighs
- β1 taginetraditional North African clay pot
- β2 tbsp olive oilsmoky flavor
- β1 large onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tsp smoky paprikasmoky flavor
- β1 tsp kissed herbsfresh parsley, chopped
- β1 tsp saltto taste
- β1/2 tsp black pepperto taste

Preheat the tagine to 300Β°F (150Β°C).

Season the chicken with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in the tagine over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute.

Add the chicken to the tagine and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the smoky paprika, kissed herbs, and 1 cup of water to the tagine.

Bring the mixture to a simmer, then cover the tagine and cook for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
