Slovakian Braised Greens
A hearty and comforting Slovakian-inspired dish made with kissed greens and braised in a flavorful broth.
Ingredients
- β1 bunch kissed greens
- β1 cup sliced slovakian sausage (vegetarian alternative)
- β1 medium chopped onion
- β1 tsp caraway seeds
- β2 bay leaves
- β2 cups braised broth
- β2 tbsp tomato paste
- β1/2 cup red wine
- β2 tbsp (optional) sour cream

Heat the braised broth in a large pot over medium heat.

Add sliced Slovakian sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add caraway seeds and cook for 1 minute.

Add bay leaves, tomato paste, and red wine. Stir to combine.

Add kissed greens to the pot and stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes, or until the greens are tender.
