Lamb Stew with Russian Twist
A hearty lamb stew with a touch of Russian flair, featuring tender lamb and a rich, flavorful broth.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 lbs Lamb shouldercut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
- ●1 loaf Russian black breadcubed
- ●1 large Silky onionssliced
- ●2 medium Kissed carrotspeeled and sliced
- ●2 cups Stewhomemade or store-bought
- ●1 tsp Saltto taste
- ●1 tsp Pepperto taste
- ●1/4 cup Fresh parsleychopped

Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Brown the lamb on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from pot and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then sauté the onions until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the carrots and cook for another 5 minutes, or until they start to soften.

Add the stew, salt, and pepper to the pot. Stir to combine.

Return the lamb to the pot and bring to a boil.

Cover the pot and transfer to the oven. Braise for 2 1/2 hours, or until the lamb is tender.

Serve the stew hot, garnished with chopped parsley and cubed bread on the side.
