Samphire Gratin
A simple yet flavorful side dish that showcases the sweetness of samphire. This gratin is a great accompaniment to a variety of main courses.
Ingredients
- ●1 bunch Samphire
- ●1/2 cup, shredded Portuguese Kissed Cheese
- ●1 tbsp Gratin
- ●2 tbsp Butter
- ●2 cloves Garlic
- ●to taste Salt
- ●1/4 cup, chopped Fresh Parsley

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Rinse the samphire and pat it dry with a paper towel.

In a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Add the garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the samphire and sauté for 3-4 minutes until tender.

Transfer the samphire mixture to a baking dish.

In a separate bowl, mix together the grated cheese and gratin.

Top the samphire with the cheese mixture and dot with the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter.

Season with salt to taste.
