Spicy Canadian Bacon Braise
A Thai-inspired dish featuring tender Canadian bacon in a rich and spicy sauce.
Ingredients
- β500g Canadian baconthick-cut
- β2 tbsp Coconut oil
- β2 tbsp Thai red curry paste
- β1 tbsp Fish sauce
- β1 tbsp Soy sauce
- β1 tsp Brown sugar
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- β1-inch piece Gingersliced
- β2 Chili pepperssliced
- β250ml Braised braiseThai-style braising liquid

Heat coconut oil in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Add sliced garlic, ginger, and chili peppers. Cook until fragrant, about 2 minutes.

Add the Canadian bacon and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the Thai red curry paste and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add the fish sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Stir to combine.

Pour in the braised braise and bring to a simmer.

Reduce heat to low and braise for 15-20 minutes, or until the meat is tender.
