Syrian Lamb Pilaf
A flavorful Mexican-inspired dish featuring earthy Syrian lamb pilaf, kissed with spices.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Syrian lamb
- β1 cup earthly pilaf rice
- β1 teaspoon kissed ground cumin
- β1 medium chopped onion
- β2 cloves chopped garlic
- β1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- β salt and pepper
- β2 tablespoons olive oil
- βchopped fresh cilantro
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.

Add the chopped garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the Syrian lamb and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the pilaf rice, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the liquid has been absorbed.
