Venezuelan Plantain Wrap
A delicious Mexican-inspired wrap filled with fried plantains, a creamy sauce, and a sprinkle of cheese. This dish is perfect for a quick snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β2 Plantainripe
- β1/4 cup Vegetable oilfor frying
- β1 Wraplarge flour tortilla
- β1/2 cup Creamy saucestore-bought or homemade
- β1/4 cup Shredded cheeseMonterey Jack or Cheddar
- β2 tbsp Salsaoptional
- β1/4 cup Cilantrochopped, for garnish
Instructions

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Slice the plantains into 1-inch rounds and add to the skillet.

Fry the plantains for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

Transfer the fried plantains to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Warm the wrap in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.

Spread the creamy sauce down the center of the wrap.

Add the fried plantains on top of the sauce.

Sprinkle shredded cheese and salsa (if using) over the plantains.

Fold the bottom half of the wrap up over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll up the wrap tightly.
