Charred Sirloin with Pan-Seared Kissed Irish Potatoes
A simple yet flavorful dish featuring charred sirloin and pan-seared kissed irish potatoes, all cooked to perfection in a skillet.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 pounds Sirloin Steakpreferably at room temperature
- ●2 large Irish Potatoespeeled and sliced thin
- ●2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Pepper
- ●1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- ● Skilletpreferably cast-iron

Preheat the skillet over medium-high heat (400°F / 200°C).

Season the sirloin with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Sear the sirloin in the skillet for 2-3 minutes per side, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.

Transfer the sirloin to a plate to rest.

In the same skillet, add olive oil over medium heat (300°F / 150°C). Add the sliced potatoes and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they're golden brown and crispy.

Remove the potatoes from the skillet and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Slice the rested sirloin against the grain. Serve with the pan-seared potatoes and garnish with kissed irish potatoes (if desired).
