Baked Fish Tagine
A flavorful North African-inspired dish featuring fish baked in a spicy tagine sauce.
Ingredients
- β4 Algerian Kissed Fish FilletsFresh fish fillets
- β2 tsp Tagine Spice MixAvailable at most Middle Eastern grocery stores
- β2 tbsp Kissed Olive OilFor drizzling
- β1 OnionChopped
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β2 tbsp Lemon JuiceFreshly squeezed
- β1 tsp SaltTo taste
- β1 tsp Black PepperTo taste

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the fish fillets with salt and black pepper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the tagine spice mix, lemon juice, and olive oil.

Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the bowl and mix well.

Place the fish fillets in the bowl and coat with the tagine sauce.

Transfer the fish to a baking dish and drizzle with additional kissed olive oil.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.

Note: Traditionally, tagine is cooked in a clay pot with a conical lid. If you have one, feel free to use it! Otherwise, a regular baking dish will do.
