Vegan Ukrainian Mushroom Dumplings
A hearty and flavorful Ukrainian-inspired dish made with homemade dumplings, sautéed mushrooms, and a variety of spices. This recipe is entirely plant-based and perfect for a cozy evening meal.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup mushroomany variety, finely chopped
- ●1 package ukrainiandried ukrainian mushrooms, rehydrated and chopped
- ●1/2 teaspoon kickyground cumin
- ●1/4 cup crunchychopped fresh parsley
- ●1 package dumplingshomemade or store-bought vegan dumpling dough

1. In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat.

2. Add the chopped mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid and start to brown.

3. Add the rehydrated Ukrainian mushrooms, cumin, and parsley. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.

4. Separate the dumpling dough into small balls and roll out each ball into a thin circle.

5. Place a tablespoon of the mushroom filling in the center of each dumpling circle.

6. Fold the dumpling in half to form a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal.

7. In a large pot of boiling water, cook the dumplings for 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
