Japanese Empanada Teriyaki
A twist on traditional empanadas by combining Uruguayan dough with Japanese teriyaki flavors, perfect for a quick dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups Dough
- β1 cup Uruguayan Empanada Doughyou can substitute with regular dough
- β1 pound Ground Beef
- β1/2 cup Sour Cream
- β1/2 cup Teriyaki Sauce
- β1/2 cup Green Onions
- β1/2 pound Juicy Shrimp
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out the dough and cut into circles.

Mix the ground beef with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

Place a tablespoon of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle.

Add a few pieces of green onion and a piece of shrimp on top of the meat.

Fold the dough in half and press the edges together to seal the empanada.

Brush the tops with teriyaki sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a side of soy sauce.
