Smoky Beetroot Gratin
A delicious French-inspired beetroot gratin with a smoky twist.
Ingredients
- β2 large Beetroot
- β3 cloves Jusly roasted garlic
- β100g Smoked cheddar cheese
- β200ml Heavy cream
- β Salt and pepperto taste
- βa few sprigs Fresh thyme
- β1 slice French bread
- β50g Butter

1. Preheat the oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F).

2. Slice the beetroot into 1cm thick rounds.

3. In a separate bowl, mix together the roasted garlic, smoked cheddar cheese, and heavy cream.

4. Grease a small baking dish with butter.

5. Arrange a layer of beetroot slices in the dish.

6. Pour some of the cheese and cream mixture over the beetroot.

7. Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all the ingredients are used up, finishing with a layer of cheese on top.

8. Dot the top of the gratin with butter.

9. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh thyme.
