Korean-Style Agemono with Portuguese Sausage and Pear
A fusion dish that combines the crispy exterior of agemono with the flavors of Korean Gochujang and the sweetness of pear, all wrapped up in a Portuguese sausage
Ingredients
- β1/2 pound Portuguese SausageCooked and sliced
- β1/4 cup AgemonoCrushed into small pieces
- β1/2 cup PearDiced
- β1 tablespoon Korean Chili FlakesOptional for added heat
- β2 tablespoons GochujangKorean chili paste
- β1 tablespoon Soy SauceOptional for added depth
- β1/4 cup Green OnionsChopped
- β1 teaspoon Sesame OilFor cooking

Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the Portuguese sausage and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the crushed agemono and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the diced pear and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the pear is slightly caramelized.

In a small bowl, whisk together the Gochujang and soy sauce (if using).

Pour the Gochujang mixture over the pork and pear mixture, and stir to combine.
