Syrian Chicken Tagine

Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken thighs
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β1 teaspoon Syrian spices (dried oregano, cinnamon, allspice)
- β1/4 cup Dried fruits (dates, prunes)
- β1 cup Chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons Honey
- βto taste Salt
- βchopped, for garnish Fresh parsley

Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the Syrian spices, dried fruits, chicken broth, and honey.

Bring to a simmer and cook, covered, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened, about 30-40 minutes.
