Japanese Beef Stew
A hearty beef stew with a mediterranean twist, cooked to perfection in a flavorful broth.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Beef Stew MeatCut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- β1 large OnionSliced
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 teaspoon Mediterranean Oregano
- β2 cups Beef Broth
- β1 cup Red Wine
- β1 can (14.5 oz) Tomatoes
- β2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Oil

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Add the sliced onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.

Add the beef broth, red wine, tomatoes, oregano, and soy sauce to the pot. Stir to combine.

Return the beef to the pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2 1/2 hours or until the beef is tender.
