Crispy Hwajeon with Semolina Crunch
A Korean-inspired dessert that combines the crunch of semolina with the delicate flavor of hwajeon. Perfect for snacking or as a dessert.

- β6-8 pieces Hwajeon
- β1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- β1/4 cup Coconut Oil
- β2 tablespoons Corn Syrup
- βpinch Salt
- β1 tablespoon Crushed Sesame Seeds

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a bowl, mix together semolina, granulated sugar, and crushed sesame seeds.

Add coconut oil and corn syrup to the bowl and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Crush the hwajeon into small pieces and add them to the bowl. Mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
