Cantonese-Style Stir-Fry
A classic Chinese dish made with juicy pork, quick-cooked in a savory sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound pork (thinly sliced)preferably ribeye or loin
- β2 tablespoons vegetable oilfor frying
- β2 cloves garlic (minced)
- β1 tablespoon ginger (grated)
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- β1/4 cup scallions (chopped)

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced pork and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from the wok and set aside.

In the same wok, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger and stir-fry until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Add the cooked pork back into the wok and stir in the soy sauce and hoisin sauce.

Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.

Stir in the chopped scallions and serve hot.
