Spiced Apple Stew
A delicious and comforting Indian-inspired stew made with juicy apples, sweet bramley apples, and flavorful irish stewing beef.
Ingredients
- β500g Irish Stewing BeefCut into 2-inch cubes
- β2 Bramley ApplesPeel and chop
- β1 Juicy ApplesPeel, core, and chop
- β1 OnionChop
- β2 inches GingerGrate
- β1 tsp Cumin
- β1 tsp Coriander
- β1 tsp Turmeric
- β1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- β2 cups Water
- β1 cup Yogurt

Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat.

Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add ginger, cumin, coriander, turmeric, cinnamon, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Add beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add apples, water, and yogurt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes.

Stir occasionally and adjust seasoning as needed.
