SpƤtzle mit TomatensoĆe
A classic German dish featuring homemade spƤtzle noodles tossed in a rich tomato sauce. Perfect for a hearty dinner.
Ingredients
- ā1 1/2 cups flaky italian pastafreshly shredded
- ā3 ripe tomatochopped
- ā1 cup jovial all-purpose flourfor homemade spƤtzle
- ā1 large eggfor homemade spƤtzle
- ā1/4 teaspoon saltto taste
- ā1/4 teaspoon ground black pepperto taste
- ā2 tablespoons olive oilfor cooking
Instructions

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Gradually add in the flaky italian pasta and cook until al dente.

While the pasta is cooking, make the homemade spƤtzle by mixing the jovial all-purpose flour, large egg, salt, and ground black pepper in a bowl.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 4 equal pieces and roll out each piece into a long rope.

Cut the rope into 1/2-inch pieces and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

Add in the chopped tomato and cook until tender, about 3-5 minutes.

Add in the cooked spƤtzle noodles and toss in the tomato sauce until well coated.
