Banh Mi Sandwich
A delicious and easy-to-make Vietnamese sandwich with crispy bread and a variety of flavorful ingredients.
Ingredients
- ●4-6 inches Banh Mi breadCan be gluten-free
- ●4 oz Grilled lambGrilled to medium-rare
- ●1/2 cup Crisp pickled carrotsStore-bought or homemade
- ●2 tbsp Vietnamese jammy sauceHomemade or store-bought
- ●1/4 cup Fresh cilantroChopped
- ●1/2 cup Sliced cucumberSliced thinly
- ●1/4 cup Sliced jalapeñoSliced thinly
- ●1 tsp MayonnaiseOptional
- ●1 tsp Lime juiceFreshly squeezed

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Grill the lamb to medium-rare, about 4-5 minutes per side.

Slice the grilled lamb into thin strips.

Split the Banh Mi bread in half and toast until crispy.

Spread the Vietnamese jammy sauce on the bottom half of the bread.

Add the sliced cucumber, sliced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro on top of the sauce.

Add the sliced grilled lamb on top of the vegetables.

Spread a layer of mayonnaise on the top half of the bread (if using).

Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich.
