Korean Bibimbap
A classic Korean dish with mixed vegetables, meat, and a fried egg. The name 'bibimbap' literally means 'mixed rice.'
Ingredients
- β1 lb beef (sirloin)thinly sliced
- β2 cups white ricecooked
- β2 cups mixed vegetablessuch as zucchini, carrots, bean sprouts
- β2 tbsp gochujangKorean chili paste
- β2 tbsp soy saucelow-sodium
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped
- β1 tsp toasted sesame oiloptional
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
- β1 fried eggsunny-side up
Instructions

Cook white rice according to package instructions.

In a large skillet or wok, heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil over medium heat.

Add the sliced beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the mixed vegetables and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the cooked beef back into the skillet and stir in gochujang and soy sauce.

To assemble the bibimbap, place a scoop of cooked white rice into a bowl.

Add the beef and vegetable mixture on top of the rice.

Drizzle with toasted sesame oil, if using.

Top with a fried egg and garnish with chopped green onions.
