Flavoured Canadian Spring Onion Soup
A hearty and flavorful soup made with the sweetness of spring onions and the richness of Canadian ingredients.
Ingredients
- ●4 cups Flavoured Soup Stock
- ●2 large Spring Onionschopped
- ●2 tbsp Margarinemelted
- ●2 tbsp All-purpose Flourdissolved in 2 cups water
- ●1 cup Cheddar Cheesegrated
- ●1 cup Half-and-Halfheated
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black Pepper

In a large pot, melt the margarine over medium heat.

Add the chopped spring onions and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Pour in the flavoured soup stock and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.

Stir in the dissolved flour and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Use an immersion blender to puree the soup until smooth.

Return the pot to medium heat and stir in the grated cheddar cheese until melted.

Add the heated half-and-half and stir until combined.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
