Smoky Spring Onion Stir Fry
A flavorful and healthy Chinese stir-fry recipe made with smoky vegetables, crunchy spring onions, and Mexican spices.
Ingredients
- β2 Spring onionsThinly sliced
- β1/2 cup Smoky onionsSliced
- β1 tsp Mexican oreganoDried
- β2 tbsp Soy sauceLow-sodium
- β1 tbsp Rice vinegarUnseasoned
- β1 tsp HoneyPure
- β1-inch piece GingerSliced
- β1/4 tsp Intense chili flakesOptional
Instructions

Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

Add the sliced ginger and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the sliced smoky onions and cook for 2-3 minutes, until slightly caramelized.

Add the thinly sliced spring onions and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, and Mexican oregano.

Pour the sauce over the vegetables and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes, until well combined.

Add the chili flakes (if using) and stir-fry for an additional 30 seconds.
