Ceviche de Camarón
A refreshing Venezuelan dish made with succulent shrimp marinated in a zesty mixture of lime juice, red pepper, and spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound ShrimpFresh or frozen, thawed
- ●1/2 cup Red onionThinly sliced
- ●1/4 cup Red pepperDiced
- ●1/2 cup Lime juiceFreshly squeezed
- ●1/4 cup CilantroChopped
- ●2 cloves GarlicMinced
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black pepper

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced red onion, diced red pepper, chopped cilantro, and minced garlic.

Squeeze the freshly squeezed lime juice over the mixture and toss to combine.

Add the shrimp to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Just before serving, stir in some chopped cilantro and serve immediately.
