Spicy Hpeppery Tagine Chicken
A flavorful North African-inspired stew made with chicken, hpeppery, and gochugaru.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Chicken thighs
- β2 tablespoons Hpeppery
- β1/4 teaspoon Gochugaru
- β1 cup Taginechopped
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- β1 Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β2 tablespoons Lemon juice

Heat the oil in the tagine over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cumin and cinnamon and cook for 1 minute.

Add the chicken and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the hpeppery, gochugaru, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Add the chicken broth and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes.

Stir in the lemon juice and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
