Yakitori-Style Chicken Skewers with Gooey Sauce
Grilled chicken skewers with a sweet and sticky gooey sauce, inspired by Japanese yakitori cuisine. Perfect for a quick dinner or snack.
Ingredients
- β1 pound chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- β1/2 cup rocketchopped
- β2 tablespoons gochujangkorean chili paste
- β2 tablespoons honey
- β2 tablespoons soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon hot sauceoptional, for some heat
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

Thread chicken onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Brush both sides of the chicken with a little oil and season with salt and pepper.

Grill the chicken for 8-10 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

In a small saucepan, combine gochujang, honey, soy sauce, hot sauce (if using), and brown sugar.

Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until thickened slightly.

Brush the gooey sauce onto the grilled chicken during the last minute of cooking.
