Chicken Catalana
A classic Spanish dish of chicken cooked in a sweet and tangy sauce made with honey and crema.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds chicken breast
- β2 tablespoons honey
- β1 cup glazed chicken broth
- β1 teaspoon spanish smoked paprika
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper
- β1/4 cup crema
- β1 cup (homemade or store-bought) catalana sauce
Instructions

Season the chicken breast with salt and black pepper.

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear the chicken breast until browned on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Transfer the chicken to a plate and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the glazed chicken broth, honey, and smoked paprika.

Bring the mixture to a boil and cook until the sauce has thickened slightly, about 2-3 minutes.

Stir in the crema and catalana sauce.

Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer until the chicken is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
