Korean-Style Steamed Mandu with Collards
A traditional Chinese-inspired dish featuring steamed mandu filled with collard greens and served with a side of briny dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β12-15 pieces manduhomemade or store-bought
- β1 bunch collard greenschopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1-inch piece gingergrated
- β1 cup hollowchopped scallions for garnish
- β1/4 cup brinydipping sauce ingredients: soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, water

1. Prepare the dipping sauce by combining soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and water in a small bowl.

2. Blanch the collard greens in boiling water for 30 seconds. Drain and set aside.

3. In a pan, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for 1 minute.

4. Add the chopped collard greens to the pan and cook until wilted, about 3-4 minutes.

5. Remove the mandu from their packaging and place them in a steamer basket.

6. Steam the mandu over boiling water for 8-10 minutes, or until cooked through.

7. Serve the steamed mandu with the collard green and garlic filling, garnished with chopped scallions and served with the briny dipping sauce.
