Saudi Arabian Roast Lamb
A traditional Saudi dish featuring roast lamb marinated in herbed spices and served with a side of Arabian rice.
Ingredients
- ●1.5 kg Roast lambBone-in lamb shoulder
- ●2 tbsp Herbed spice mixMake sure to include ingredients like cinnamon, cardamom, and cumin
- ●1 cup Arabian riceCooked according to package instructions
- ●2 tbsp Lemon juiceFreshly squeezed
- ●3 cloves GarlicMinced
- ●2 tbsp Ghee or oilFor basting the lamb
- ●1 tsp Salt
- ●1 tsp Black pepper

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

In a large bowl, mix together herbed spice mix, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and black pepper.

Add the lamb to the bowl and coat it evenly with the spice mixture.

Place the lamb in a large roasting pan and drizzle with ghee or oil.

Roast the lamb in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 160°C (325°F) and continue roasting for another 30-40 minutes, or until the lamb is cooked to your liking.

Let the lamb rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving with Arabian rice.

Cook the Arabian rice according to package instructions.

Serve the roasted lamb with a side of Arabian rice and garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
