Beef Empanada Koftas
A twist on traditional koftas, made with beef empanada filling, inspired by Indian flavors and techniques.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Beef Empanada Filling
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β2 inches Gingergrated
- β2 teaspoons Garam Masala
- β1 teaspoon Cumin
- β1/4 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
- β1/2 teaspoon Salt
- β2 tablespoons Chopped Fresh Cilantro
- β2 tablespoons Lemon Juice

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, combine ground beef empanada filling, chopped onion, grated ginger, garam masala, cumin, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix well with your hands until just combined.

Divide the mixture into 8 equal parts and shape each part into a ball.

Flatten each ball slightly into an oval shape.

Thread a wooden skewer through the center of each kofta, leaving a small space between each.

Brush the koftas with lemon juice and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Serve hot with chopped cilantro and your favorite chutney.

Note: If using wooden skewers, make sure to soak them in water for 30 minutes before grilling to prevent burning.
