Polish Chicken Skillet
A hearty and sweet Polish-inspired chicken skillet dish, perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 lb chicken breastcut into 1-inch pieces
- β2 tbsp skillet oil
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β1 medium bell pepperchopped
- β2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- β1 tsp brown sugar
- β1 tsp dried thyme
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Heat the skillet oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, thyme, salt, and pepper to the skillet and stir to combine.

Return the chicken to the skillet and stir to coat with the sauce.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, covered, for 5-7 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
