Spanish Paella with Ham
A classic Spanish dish made with savory rice, ham, and hearty paella spices.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Spanish paella rice
- β1 cup diced HamCured ham or prosciutto
- β2 tsp Hearty paella spicesBlend of saffron, paprika, and garlic powder
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- β1 medium diced Onion
- β2 cloves minced Garlic
- β1 medium diced Tomato
- β1 medium diced Red pepper
- β2 cups Chicken broth
- β1 cup Water

Heat the oil in a large paella pan over medium-high heat.

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Add the diced ham and cook until lightly browned, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the paella rice and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the tomato, red pepper, and paella spices, and stir to combine.

Add the chicken broth and water, and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes, or until the rice is tender.
