Smoky Dolmades
A twist on traditional dolmades, these smoky stuffed grape leaves are filled with a hearty vegetable mix and served as a snack or appetizer.
Ingredients
- β20 Grape leaves
- β1 medium, diced Zucchini
- β1 medium, diced Bell peppers
- β1 medium, finely chopped Onions
- β1/2 cup Rice
- β2 tablespoons Tomato paste
- β2 tablespoons Lemon juice
- β2 tablespoons Olive oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
Instructions

Soak grape leaves in water for 10 minutes.

Combine zucchini, bell peppers, onions, rice, tomato paste, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper in a bowl.

Drain grape leaves and place a tablespoon of the vegetable mix in the center of each leaf.

Fold the stem end of the leaf over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll into a neat package.

Place the dolmades seam-side down in a baking dish and cover with a lid.

Steam the dolmades over boiling water for 20-25 minutes.
