Portuguese Roasted Cheese Casserole
A hearty, comforting casserole filled with roasted cheese and perfect for a chilly evening. This Portuguese-inspired dish is easy to make and sure to become a family favorite.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf Portuguese breadpreferably a day old
- β2 Roasted red pepperfrom a jar or roasted at home
- β1 cup Cheddar cheeseshredded
- β1/2 cup Parmesan cheesegrated
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 tbsp Olive oilfor greasing the dish
- β Salt and pepperto taste

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cut the Portuguese bread into 1-inch cubes and place half of them in the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Drizzle the olive oil over the bread, then sprinkle with minced garlic and roasted red pepper.

Top with the remaining bread cubes, followed by the shredded cheddar and grated Parmesan cheese.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.

Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
