Kenyan Lasagna
A unique twist on a classic Italian dish, incorporating traditional Kenyan flavors.
Ingredients
- β8-10 sheets Lasagna noodles
- β1 block (8 oz) Cheesegrated
- β1 lb Beefground
- β1 large Onionschopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 can (28 oz) Tomatoescrushed
- β1 tsp Kenyan spicese.g., cumin, coriander
- β1/4 cup Olive oil
- βto taste Salt

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat.

Add beef, cook until browned, breaking into small pieces.

Add onions and garlic, cook until softened.

Stir in tomatoes, Kenyan spices, and salt. Simmer for 10 minutes.

In a separate bowl, combine grated cheese and a pinch of salt.

Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Arrange 4 lasagna noodles on top of the sauce.

Spread half of the cheese mixture over the noodles.

Repeat the layers, starting with the meat sauce, noodles, and finally the remaining cheese mixture.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
