Hearty Japanese Pear Oat Bowl
A comforting Japanese-inspired oat bowl with a sweet pear compote and crunchy toppings.
Ingredients
- β1 cup rolled oats
- β1 medium pearpeeled and diced
- β1 cup water
- β2 tbsp honey
- β1/4 cup toasted almonds
- β2 tbsp coconut flakes
Instructions

1. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil.

2. Gradually add the oats and reduce heat to low, stirring frequently.

3. Cook for 5 minutes or until the oats have absorbed most of the water.

4. In a separate pan, heat honey over low heat until it starts to caramelize.

5. Add diced pear to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes or until slightly tender.

6. In a separate pan, toast almonds over medium heat until lightly browned.

7. In a large bowl, combine cooked oats, pear compote, and toasted almonds.
