Crisp Chicken Tagine
A flavorful and spicy North African-inspired chicken dish with a crunchy twist. This recipe combines the rich flavors of a traditional tagine with a crunchy, crispy exterior.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breastcut into 2-inch pieces
- β1 can (14.5 oz) canned diced tomatoescrushed
- β1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantrofor garnish
- β2 teaspoons cuminground
- β1 teaspoon corianderground
- β1/2 teaspoon paprikasmoked
- β1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepperoptional
- β1 teaspoon saltoptional
- β2 tablespoons peanut oilfor frying
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor dredging

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the chicken with salt, cumin, coriander, and paprika.

Dredge the chicken in flour, shaking off excess.

Heat the peanut oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Fry the chicken until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.

Transfer the chicken to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
