Red Bean Paste Buns
Soft and fluffy buns filled with sweet red bean paste, a classic Chinese dessert.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Red bean paste
- β2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 tablespoon Sugar
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt
- β1 teaspoon Instant yeast
- β1 cup Warm water
- β2 tablespoons Butter
- β1 Egg

Combine warm water, sugar, and yeast in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Add flour, salt, and butter to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then flatten it slightly.

Place a tablespoon of red bean paste in the center of each dough piece. Fold the dough over the filling and seal it tightly.

Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with egg wash.
