Almond Fritter Naan
A unique twist on traditional naan, these fritters are filled with ground almonds and spices, inspired by Indian cuisine. Serve warm with a side of chutney or raita.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- β1 cup Ground almonds
- β1/2 cup Yogurt
- β1/4 cup Ghee or oil
- β1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- β1 tsp Coriander powder
- β1/2 tsp Baking powder
- β1/4 tsp Salt
- β1/2 cup Water

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, ground almonds, yogurt, ghee or oil, cumin seeds, coriander powder, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.

Gradually add water and knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 30 minutes.

Heat a non-stick skillet or tava over medium heat.

Pinch a small ball of dough and flatten it slightly into a disk shape.

Place the disk in the skillet and cook for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

Flip the fritter and cook for another 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.

Repeat with the remaining dough to make more fritters.

Serve warm with a side of chutney or raita.

Note: If the dough becomes too sticky, add a little more flour. If it becomes too dry, add a little more water.
