Grilled Kofte with Spicy Deodeok Slaw
A spicy and flavorful Korean-inspired dish featuring grilled kofte and a crunchy deodeok slaw.

Ingredients
- β1 lb Kofte (ground turkey, gritty, turkish)
- β2 stalks Deodeok (Asian rhubarb)
- β1 tsp Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)adjust to taste
- βto taste Coarse salt
- βto taste Pepper
- β3 cloves Garlic
- β2 tbsp Sesame oil
- β2 tbsp Soy sauce
- β1 tsp Brown sugar
- β1/4 cup Green onion
- β1/4 cup Cilantro
- β1 medium Root (for slaw, e.g. daikon or carrot)

Preheat grill to medium-high heat.

In a large bowl, mix kofte ingredients until just combined.

Form into small patties and grill for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Meanwhile, peel and grate deodeok. Mix with Korean chili flakes, coarse salt, and pepper.

Chop garlic and mix with sesame oil, soy sauce, and brown sugar.

Combine garlic mixture with deodeok slaw ingredients and mix well.
