Grilled Lardon and Bacon Baguette
A twist on the classic Mexican street food, this grilled baguette is filled with crispy lardon and bacon.
Ingredients
- β1 Baguettepreferably day-old baguette
- β6 slices Lardonthick-cut bacon
- β4 slices Baconthick-cut bacon
- β2 cloves Garlicminced
- βnull Grilledas needed
- βnull Comal or grillfor toasting baguette
Instructions

Preheat comal or grill to medium-high heat.

Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.

Place the baguette on the comal or grill and toast until lightly browned.

In a pan, cook the lardon and bacon over medium heat until crispy.

Remove the lardon and bacon from the pan and set aside.

Add the minced garlic to the pan and cook for 1 minute.

Assemble the baguette by spreading the garlic on the bottom half, followed by the lardon and bacon.

Top with the top half of the baguette.

Cut the baguette in half and serve immediately.
