Turkish-Style Kuru Fasulye
A hearty Turkish white bean stew made with kuru beans, onions, and spices.
Ingredients
- ●1 cup, dried Kuru fasulye (dried white beans)
- ●1 medium, chopped Onion
- ●1, finely chopped Turkish red pepper (optional)
- ●3 cloves, minced Garlic
- ●to taste Salt
- ●to taste Black pepper
- ●2 tablespoons Olive oil
Instructions

Rinse the dried beans and soak them in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.

Drain and rinse the soaked beans, then transfer them to a large pot.

Add the chopped onion, Turkish red pepper (if using), and garlic to the pot.

Pour in enough water to cover the beans and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 1 hour, or until the beans are tender.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Heat the olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Sauté the beans and onion mixture for 10-15 minutes, or until the flavors have melded together.
