Crumble Apple Pie
A delicious homemade pie filled with gooey apples and topped with a crumbly crust. Perfect for a cozy dessert or snack.
Ingredients
- ●2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- ●6-8 medium apples, peeled and sliced gooeyGranny Smith or other sweet/tart variety
- ●1/2 cup sugarwhite or brown sugar
- ●1/2 cup cold buttercut into small pieces
- ●1 cup crumblestore-bought or homemade

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine sliced apples, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix until apples are evenly coated.

Roll out the pie dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the dough to a 9-inch pie dish and trim the edges to fit.

Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture and dot the top with butter pieces.

Roll out the remaining pie dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch. Use a pastry cutter or a knife to cut the dough into strips for a lattice-top crust.

Place the lattice strips on top of the apple mixture, weaving them into a lattice pattern.

Brush the lattice top with a little bit of water and sprinkle with sugar.

Roll out the crumble topping and break it into small pieces. Sprinkle the crumble topping evenly over the lattice top.

Bake the pie for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
