Crispy Tofu Onigiri
A fusion dish combining the crispy exterior of Norwegian-style pan-fried tofu with the traditional Japanese onigiri.
Ingredients
- β1 block (200g) Tofu
- β2 cups (cooked) Golden Onigiri Rice
- β2 tbsp Crispy Norwegian Flakes
- β1 tsp Soy Sauce
- β1 tsp Rice Vinegar
- β1 tsp Sugar
- βto taste Salt
- βas needed Water
Instructions

Cut the tofu into small cubes and set aside.

Heat the crispy Norwegian flakes in a pan over medium heat.

Add the tofu to the pan and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.

In a separate pan, heat a small amount of water over medium heat.

Add the cooked onigiri rice to the pan and stir-fry until heated through.

Add the soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar to the pan and stir-fry for another minute.

Shape the onigiri rice into small triangular shapes.

Serve the crispy tofu on top of the onigiri rice.

Season with salt to taste.
