Steak au Poivre with French Fries
A classic French dish featuring steak au poivre, served with crispy French fries.
Ingredients
- β1.5 lb Steak(1.5-2 inches thick)
- β2 tbsp Black peppercorns
- β2 lbs French fries
- β2 tbsp Butter
- β3 cloves Garlic
- βto taste Salt
- βfor frying Olive oil
- βchopped (for garnish) Fresh parsley

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Season the steak with salt, pepper, and black peppercorns.

Heat a skillet over high heat and sear the steak for 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and cook to desired doneness.

For the French fries, heat about 2-3 inches of olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat.

Cut the potatoes into your desired French fry shape and fry in batches until golden brown.

Drain the French fries on paper towels and season with salt.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
