Chicken and Rice Tagine
A flavorful and aromatic tagine dish inspired by Moroccan cuisine, with the addition of French flair.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Garlicky Chicken
- β1 cup Rice
- β2 teaspoons Moroccan Tagine Spice Mix
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- β1 medium Onion
- β2 inches Ginger
- β1 cup Grape Juice
- β2 tablespoons Honey
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat oil in the bottom of a large tagine or Dutch oven over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the ginger and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the tagine spice mix, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Add the grape juice and honey. Stir to combine.

Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 25 minutes.

Add the rice and stir to combine.

Return to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for an additional 20 minutes.
