American Chicken Casserole
A classic American comfort food dish featuring chicken, pasta, and a creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- ●1 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breast
- ●8 ounces pastaelbow macaroni
- ●1 cup baked, shredded cheddar cheese
- ●1 can (10 1/2 ounces) canned cream of chicken soup
- ●1 cup frozen peas and carrots
- ●1/4 cup sour cream
- ●1 medium chopped onion
- ●to taste salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cook pasta according to package directions; set aside.

In a large skillet, sauté chopped onion until softened.

Add frozen peas and carrots and cook until thawed.

In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, chicken, soup, sour cream, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
