Gooey Berry Dal
A sweet and savory Indian dessert made with fresh berries and gooey dal. Perfect for warm weather.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Fresh Dal
- β3/4 cup Gooey Dal
- β1 cup Fresh Berriesany mix of berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
- β2 tbsp Sugar
- β1 cup Milk
- β1 tsp Cardamom powder
- β2 tbsp Ghee
Instructions

In a saucepan, combine the fresh dal and milk.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes.

Add the sugar, cardamom powder, and gooey dal to the saucepan.

Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Add the fresh berries to the saucepan and cook for 1 minute.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the ghee.

Let the mixture cool to room temperature.

Serve chilled or warm, garnished with additional fresh berries if desired.
