Korean-Style Roast Grape Leaf Wraps
A sweet and savory wrap filled with the flavors of Korea and the freshness of grape leaves. Perfect for a quick snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β12 leaves Grape Leavesfresh or jarred, drained and chopped
- β1/2 cup, chopped RoastKorean-style roast chicken or beef
- β1 tsp Korean Chili Flakesor to taste
- β2 tbsp Sesame Oilor regular oil
- β2 tbsp Soy Sauceor tamari for gluten-free
- β1 cup, cooked Fragrant Riceor substitute with other cooked rice
- β1/4 cup, chopped Green Onionsoptional

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

If using jarred grape leaves, rinse and drain them. If using fresh, blanch them in boiling water for 30 seconds, then chop.

In a large skillet, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add the chopped roast and cook until browned, about 5 minutes.

Add the Korean chili flakes and soy sauce to the skillet and stir to combine. Cook for an additional 1 minute.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, green onions (if using), and cooked roast mixture. Stir to combine.

To assemble the wraps, lay a grape leaf flat on a work surface, with the stem end facing you.

Spoon about 1/4 cup of the rice mixture onto the center of the leaf, leaving a 1-inch border on either side.

Fold the stem end over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the leaf into a neat package.

Repeat with the remaining grape leaves and filling.

Serve the wraps warm, or at room temperature.
